Apple launches HomePod mini 2 with S10 chip, 5 new colors, a music-reactive Sound Glow feature, priced at 5,200 baht
Pairs with the new Apple TV 4K for 4-speaker surround sound and can also serve as a speaker for Mac; coming to Thailand soon, date not yet set

Apple announced the HomePod mini 2 on October 13, 2026, with new colors and a fuller sound experience than before. It works as a standalone speaker, a stereo pair, or part of a multi-room system. Kaiann Drance, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Home Product Marketing, said HomePod mini is the ultimate speaker for every room, with new colors, sound power, and voice control.
This model comes in 5 colors — pink, green, blue, white, and midnight — each with a matching charging cable, delivering 360-degree sound. It's powered by the Apple S10 chip and Computational Audio, which analyzes music in real time to optimize dynamic range, loudness, and acoustic performance. For the first time, pairing 4 units of the HomePod mini 2 with the Apple TV 4K (4th generation) builds a 4-speaker surround system, with the speakers sensing their position in the room and automatically calibrating themselves — or a pair of HomePod (2nd generation) speakers can join the 4-speaker set, as long as the front and rear pairs match. It can also serve as the default speaker for Mac (requires a Mac with Wi-Fi 6E or later, used with a single HomePod or a stereo pair).
The new Sound Glow feature turns the top of the device into a glowing canvas that pulses to the music, using album artwork to generate a color glow unique to each song, with ambient sound options like rain triggering a calming animation. Voice control for Sound Glow requires an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone and the latest software.
