Apple launches the 4th-gen Apple TV 4K with an A19 chip, 50% faster CPU, priced at 10,900 baht, with 4-speaker surround sound

Apple announced the next-generation Apple TV 4K on October 13, 2026, positioning it as Apple's most immersive home theater experience yet, with a smoother role as the hub connecting smart-home devices through Apple Home. Bob Borchers, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said pairing it with HomePod delivers the best surround sound yet, and it's part of the most connected Apple Home experience when used alongside HomeView and HomePod mini 2.

The A19 chip delivers up to 50% faster CPU performance and up to 2x faster GPU performance versus the previous generation, with a dedicated AV1 decoder helping stream high quality video using less bandwidth. The new Siri Remote adds precision finding and a locate-by-sound feature, requiring an iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, or iPhone 17 or later (excluding 17e) running the latest iOS. The headline feature is building a 4-speaker surround setup for the first time using the Apple TV 4K (4th generation) paired with four HomePod mini 2 units, with the speakers automatically sensing their position.

On smart home, with a compatible video doorbell, notifications pop up on the TV, letting users see who's at the door, talk to visitors, and unlock the door without interrupting what they're watching. It supports automations, Guest Mode, and HomeKit Secure Video, with built-in Wi-Fi and Thread. On privacy, the A19 chip includes Secure Exclaves, processing microphone data separately from the rest of the system, inaccessible to tvOS, apps, users, or even Apple, and HomeKit Secure Video footage is end-to-end encrypted.
