Dusit Princess Ipoh set to open October 1 as Dusit's third hotel in Malaysia

Dusit Hotels and Resorts announced the opening of Dusit Princess Ipoh on October 1, 2026, the company's third branded hotel in Malaysia, located in Ipoh, capital of Perak state, about 200 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur. Ipoh is known for its colonial-era heritage shophouses and traditional coffee shops (kopitiam), including Ipoh white coffee roasted with margarine, and the limestone landscape of the Kinta Valley with its cave temples.

The hotel is owned by Plenitude Berhad, sitting next to the Perak Turf Club racecourse, about 5 minutes from downtown and about 10 minutes from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport. It has 268 rooms across 5 types, from 25-sqm Superior rooms to 58-sqm Family Suites with a small kitchen, plus an outdoor pool, Kids Club, a 6,580-square-foot fitness center, and The Atrium restaurant overlooking limestone hills, serving breakfast buffets including nasi lemak, roti canai, dim sum, and continental fare.

Event space totals 964 sqm across 3 rooms, led by the 496.8-sqm Kinta Ballroom, seating 400 theater-style. There's also a "Discover the Soul of Ipoh" program featuring local activities — old-town photo walks, pomelo orchard visits, cave temple tours, the Ipoh white coffee trail, and Labu Sayong pottery workshops. Launch-period rates start at 230 ringgit (about $57) per night, with a 50-ringgit daily food and beverage credit through December 31, 2026.
