HONOR names Xiao Zhan global ambassador ahead of the Magic9 Series launch on Sept 28

HONOR announced Xiao Zhan, the famous Chinese actor and singer, as Global Ambassador for its flagship smartphone lineup, welcoming the upcoming HONOR Magic9 Series launch. This campaign uses the slogan "A decade of wonder, leading into a new chapter about to begin," tied to the hashtag #HONORMagic9ProMax.

What's notable is Xiao Zhan's own trajectory with HONOR. He previously served as ambassador for the HONOR N series, a mid-range product line, so moving up to oversee the flagship's image now signals that HONOR sees his marketing power and wants to connect him with higher-value products.

On the product itself, HONOR confirmed the Magic9 Series officially launches in China on September 28, comprising 3 models: Magic9, Magic9 Pro, and Magic9 Pro Max. The main selling point is the camera system co-developed with ARRI, the global film camera maker, with the Pro Max featuring dual 200MP rear sensors on both the main and telephoto cameras, alongside a new large square camera module design with 3 lens openings, markedly different from previous generations.
