iPhone Duo review: Apple's first foldable, from 79,900 baht — is the price gap worth it?
5.4-inch outer display, 7.6-inch inner display, A20 Pro chip, titanium body, Touch ID unlock, eSIM only; pre-orders Oct 16

Apple launched the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, with two displays: a 5.4-inch outer screen (90% screen-to-body ratio) and a 7.6-inch inner screen, about 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The body is Grade 5 titanium, with the inner display featuring a nano-texture coating. The hinge contains over 100 parts, meeting IP68 water resistance (6 meters for 30 minutes). It uses the A20 Pro chip and a dual-battery system, unlocking via Touch ID on the side button instead of Face ID, and supports eSIM only, with no physical SIM slot.
On camera, it's a dual 48MP system comprising a main Fusion camera (2x zoom) and an ultra-wide, but with no dedicated telephoto lens or variable aperture like the iPhone 18 Pro. It adds features that take advantage of the dual-screen setup, such as Duo Preview and Dual Capture, and FaceTime supports 4K 120fps video. On software, iOS 27 is redesigned for the foldable display, supporting Split View for the first time on iPhone, along with Apple Intelligence and a new Siri version supporting English only at launch. Battery life reaches up to 24 hours of mixed use, with 50W wired charging (20 minutes for 50%) and MagSafe/Qi2 wireless charging.
Thailand pricing starts at 79,900 baht (256GB) up to 127,900 baht (2TB). Pre-orders open October 16, with sales starting October 23, in two colors: Star White and Night Sky. Compared with the iPhone 18 Pro starting at 48,900 baht and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at 52,900 baht, the iPhone Duo costs about 27,000–31,000 baht more. Analysis suggests this model suits early adopters, frequent travelers, and those wanting the largest display, while those prioritizing camera quality, Face ID, or Thai-language Apple Intelligence (not yet supported) may want to skip this first generation.
