Huawei Digital Power launched FusionSolar 9.0 at the Huawei Digital Power Summit in Thailand, describing it as the world's first grid-forming solar inverter, which helps stabilize the transmission grid from the renewable-energy side itself. The event drew over 700 policymakers and energy experts.
Jack Zheng, an executive at Huawei Digital Power Thailand, said grid-forming technology combined with AI will be key as renewable energy becomes the dominant power source, and as the grid must support rapidly growing electrical load from AI data centers and EV charging infrastructure.
