vivo launched its X500 smartphone series in full — the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max — highlighting professional-grade cameras, a new flagship chip, and a large battery. The X500 Pro and Pro Max are the world's first smartphones to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, while the standard X500 uses the Dimensity 9600M.

The main camera on the Pro and Pro Max is a 50MP unit on a 1/1.28-inch Sony LYTIA L910 sensor co-developed with Sony, with a Zeiss T* coating and an f/1.57 aperture covering 17 EV of dynamic range. The Pro Max features "gimbal-grade" 3-degree OIS stabilization, while the Pro offers 1.5 degrees. The Pro Max also adds a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, 85mm-equivalent, on a Samsung ISOCELL HP0 sensor, while the Pro uses a 64MP telephoto lens on a Sony LYTIA 610 sensor. Both support an optional Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra to extend reach up to 400mm.

On video, both support Cinematic Slow Motion at 4K 240fps in 10-bit 4:2:2 color with the ACES color system, and the Pro Max can record 8K at 30fps. Pricing starts at 5,499 yuan (X500), 6,499 yuan (Pro), and 6,999 yuan (Pro Max), going on sale in China September 24, with no global launch plans yet.
