Xiaomi is set to officially launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in China on September 23, 2026. The most talked-about feature is its "hardware-level privacy display," which prevents the screen from being viewed from a side angle, similar to what's found on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The difference is that Xiaomi implements this at the hardware level, not just through a software light filter, giving more accurate results.

The display uses a new M11 Luminescent panel, which Xiaomi claims is 20% more power-efficient than the previous generation, with up to 4,000 nits peak brightness and bezels just 0.99mm thin. On battery, the Xiaomi 18 Pro has 7,000mAh capacity, while the 18 Pro Max reaches as much as 8,500mAh, one of the largest batteries among current flagship smartphones.

The rear camera has 3 units co-developed with Leica, using a 200MP main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens for long-range zoom without quality loss. The chip is a 2nm unit expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, running HyperOS 4, with an upgraded rear display supporting AI-generated apps. It comes in 3 colors: black, Galaxy Blue, and white.
