vivo reveals V80 specs ahead of its India launch Oct 6 — four ZEISS cameras, a 5,000-nit display, 7,200mAh battery
A 1.5K 144Hz OLED display with 90W fast charging, the first device outside China to debut OriginOS 7, with a Thailand launch not yet confirmed

vivo has revealed key specs and colors for its latest smartphone, the V80, announcing an official launch date in India on October 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM local time. Unlike the V80 Lite, which highlights battery as its selling point, the standard V80 positions itself on its camera, co-developed with renowned optics brand ZEISS, supporting 4K Cinematic Video recording and 4K video at 60 frames per second with OIS stabilization.
The display is a 6.59-inch OLED panel at 1.5K resolution, with up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and a 144Hz refresh rate. The battery is 7,200mAh with 90W fast charging. For the India market specifically, it adds an AI Diwali Portrait 2.0 feature and a Diwali Frame overlay for the Diwali festival. On software, the V80 is the first smartphone outside China to receive OriginOS 7, built on Android 17, ahead of launch. While vivo has not yet disclosed chipset and RAM details, it has confirmed 3 colors: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black. Buyers in India will also receive 100GB of free cloud storage via the Google One Standard Plan for 6 months.
