Huawei Thailand sets up a relief unit for flood-affected staff in Bangkok, sending boats and 400 survival bags via the Ministry of Education

Following heavy rain and flash flooding in Bangkok during September 25-27, 2026, with several areas experiencing high floodwater levels and travel difficulties, many Huawei employees were affected. Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. set up a special coordination unit, dispatching boats and food directly to affected employees.

At the same time, Mr. David Li, CEO of Huawei Thailand, represented the company in handing over 400 relief bags, 100 sacks of rice, 70 trays of eggs, and dried food to Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, Minister of Education, to help schools, students, families, and the public affected. The Minister thanked Huawei and said the Ministry had tasked the Office of the Vocational Education Commission with setting up "Vocational Kitchens," cooking fresh meals for distribution, operating at 3 locations: Lak Si housing estate (near the Government Complex at Chaeng Watthana), Sriputa School in Saphan Sung district, and King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

Mr. David Li said Huawei has operated in Thailand for 27 years, and employees also helped pack relief bags to deliver directly to people in affected areas.
